Government Steps Back From "No Question Hour" Move Facing Criticism
Faced with criticism on "No Question Hour", the Centre on September 3 allowed "question hour" of 30 minutes in the monsoon session of the Parliament. However, the Centre said that it will answer only 160 "Unstarred questions" a day. "Unstarred questions" get only a written reply from the minister concerned. Besides, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi had requested both the houses to keep the duration of "Zero Hour" to 30 minutes.
