Government's Co-WIN App Causing Vaccine Wastage: Hospital Admins

Bengaluru hospitals with limited chain have blamed the Co-WIN, government-launched app that regulates COVID-19 vaccination drive, for causing vaccine wastage. They said the app-based inoculation drive is eliminating chances of using the left-over vaccines of a particular vial on general people willing to take it. Reportedly, the city's Ramaiah Memorial Hospital is seeing vaccine wastage of around 6-8%. However, certain hospitals ensure that the leftover shots are used by another hospital.
