UP Govt Directs Authorities To Reserve Beds At Covid Hospitals For Monkeypox Patients

Uttar Pradesh government directed authorities to reserve beds for monkeypox patients at Covid-designated hospitals throughout the state on July 25. Although no cases of monkeypox have been documented in UP thus far. All hospital personnel has been instructed to follow the Centre's instructions. Ssurveillance of passengers arriving from countries where monkeypox is endemic would be enhanced. In India, 16 labs have been established to test monkeypox virus samples.
