UP Govt Launches ‘Mera Gaon-Corona Mukt Gaon’ Campaign

The Uttar Pradesh government on May 21 launched a special campaign, 'Mera Gaon-Corona Mukt Gaon' (My village-Corona free village), in order to make villages free from coronavirus disease. With special focus on rural areas, the campaign aims to bring out the local participation to reduce the COVID-19 cases in the state. Emphasizing on strict screening, treatment and vaccination, the scheme will also reward three best-performing villages and wards.
