Govt Offers To Suspend Farm Laws For 1.5 Years To End Stalemate
The Centre on January 20 proposed to halt the implementation of farm laws for up to 18 months. Besides, the government has also pushed to form a joint committee to end the deadlock. However, reacting to the proposals, the farmers said that they will response only by January 22 after deliberating over these among them. Reportedly, the laws will be inoperative until next year-bound Punjab Assembly Elections where the BJP is facing extreme criticism.
