Gujarat Accompanies UP, MP Row; Plans To Introduce Anti 'Love Jihad' Law

Gujarat Home Minister Pradipsinh Jadeja has affirmed that the state will introduce a bill to counter 'love jihad' in its month-long budget session that started on March 1. Jadeja said, "The (Dharma Swatantrata) bill will prohibit and provision punishments for conversion by misinterpretation, under influence, coercion, marriage or any fraudulent means." As of now, two BJP ruled states - Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh have already passed functional anti-love jihad laws.
