Gujarat Hooch Death Toll Reaches 40; 10 Detained For Selling Fake Liquor

Seven additional individuals have died in the past 12 hours on July 27 in Gujarat's Botad district, bringing the total number of fatalities attributable to the use of fake alcohol to 40. Thirty-one of them were from Botad villages, while nine were from the neighboring Dhandhuka taluka in Ahmedabad. So far, police have filed three First Information Reports (FIRs) against roughly 20 suspects and apprehended at least ten of them.
