GVMC Constructs Floating Solar Power Plant On Meghadri Gedda Reservoir, AP
The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) has inaugurated a floating solar power plant on Andhra Pradesh's Meghadri Gedda reservoir. Every year, the facility can generate 4.2 million units of power. It also saves 54,000 tonnes of coal each year. “Power plant has been started on 12 acres of area, it can produce 4.2 million units of power every year,” said GVMC Commissioner G Lakshmisha.
