Harbhajan Singh Apologises For Sharing Hoax Video Related To Vaccination
Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh on January 22 apologized for sharing a viral video, wherein two officials can be seen taking fake COVID-19 vaccine shots. Sharing the video on his Twitter page on January 21, he had said, "This is how some of our leaders are taking the vaccine. Picture khich gayi ok good." In the video, two health officials can be seen posing as the vaccine shot is being given to them but the nurse does not really inject the drug. Soon after the video, which shows Tumakuru medical college principal Dr Rajani and health officer Dr. Nagendrappa, surfaced on social media, many netizens had started to troll and share it. However, Dr. Nagendrappa later clarified that they had taken the vaccine on January 16 itself but the reporters did not get the visuals of it at that time; hence, they had to stage the act of vaccination just for the media. But Harbhajan fell to the hoax and posted the video, along with sarcastic caption, without cross checking the facts. However, the cricketer has deleted the video from his Twitter page.
