Harry Potter Book Sales Drop; JK Rowling’s Transgender Controversy

The Harry Potter books saw a drop in sales in the US as the summer reading season started in June. In Summer 2019, the book sales had shot up by 35.2%, which dropped down to 10.9% this year. Analysts believe that with consistent sales, they could have earned $2 million more. In June, JK Rowling had received intense criticism after making anti-transgender comments, disappointing fans around the world.
