Haryana: CM Khattar Prohibits Sale, Usage Of Firecrackers Over COVID Fear
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on November 6 put a blanket ban on the sale and usage of firecrackers in the state ahead of Diwali. The decision aims to avoid the possible spread of COVID-19 due to the contamination caused by firecrackers. Earlier, Chief Ministers of Rajasthan, Odisha, Sikkim and Delhi have also banned the use and sale of fireworks in their states.
