Haryana Governor Approves Bill Seeking 75% Reservation In Private Jobs

A Bill in the Haryana Assembly seeking 75% reservation in private jobs for the residents of the state was nodded by Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya on March 2. Notably, 'the Haryana State Employment of Local Candidates Bill, 2020' seeks reservation for private jobs of below Rs 50,000/month salary for the domiciles. The Bill, a poll promise by ruling Jannayak Janta Party covers private companies, societies and trusts and will be initially enforced for 10 years.
