Advocating Banana as an instant-energy provider, Ayurvedic practitioner Dr Dixa Bhavsar suggests consuming it after morning workout and as an evening snack is best. About the riping-stage, Dixa says under-ripe bananas contain low-sugar and high-resistant starch and keep a person stay full for long, while riped ones digest quickly. Besides, over-ripe bananas with brown patches have highest antioxidants. However, she strictly asked to avoid bananas with/after milk and meal.
