Heavy Rains In Gujarat Sweep Away Bridge In Panchol

The bridge linking Panchol and Kumbhiya villages in Tapi washed away due to torrential rains over Gujarat on July 10. Rains across the state pounded numerous regions, causing flood-like conditions in some areas. As the rescue operations progressed, 700 individuals were evacuated and brought to secure locations. India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted heavy to very heavy rainfall with isolated extremely heavy showers in south Gujarat during the next five days.
