Highspeed 4G Internet Services Resumed In J&K After 18-Month Ban
The J&K government on February 5 restored the 4G internet services in the Union Territory after 18 months. Lifting the restrictions, the home secretary asked the J&K Police to “closely monitor the impact of lifting restrictions". Earlier, while 2G services across J&K were restored on January 2020, the government has allowed 4G services only in Gandherbal and Udhampur districts. The highspeed internet services were shut on August 4, 2019, after the abrogation of Article 370.
