'Hindi Theriyathu Poda' Hashtag Trends after Alleged Hindi Imposition: TN

On September 5, ‘#HindiTheriyathuPoda’ trended on Twitter after actor Shirish tweeted an image with music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja. Both were seen wearing T-shirts against the alleged Hindi Imposition. Various South stars showed their support by wearing similar T-shirts and made it popular overnight on Twitter. Tamil Nadu BJP Spokesperson expressed his objection over the hashtag and stated that, rather the people should be asking the non-Tamils to learn Tamil.
