Home Ministry Designates 18 Individuals As "Terrorist" Under UAPA
Amending the list under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, the Home Ministry on October 27 designated 18 more Pakistan-based individuals as "terrorists". The list includes Dawood's top-aide Chhota Shakeel, Bhatkal Brothers of Indian Mujahideen and 26/11 suspect Sajid Mir among others. Besides, accused in Kandhar hijack and Akshardham attack are also added. Prior to the amended UAPA of 2019, only terror organizations and not individuals were booked under the act.
