Hongkong: Paraplegic Climbs Skyscraper On Wheelchair
In an incredible show of strength and tenacity, Hongkong's paraplegic climber Lai Chi-wai climbed over 250 metres of the Nina Tower in Kowloon city on January 16. Strapped to his wheelchair due to accidental-paralysis, Lai pulled himself up for 10 hours to raise $670,639 for spinal cord patients. Although unsuccessful in completing the climb of 300 metres, Lai hoped to deliver the message that the paralyzed "don't have to be viewed as weak".
