HRW Claims Secondary Education Still Prohibited For Afghan Girls
Human Rights Watch, New York-based organization, alleged on July 13 Taliban's prohibition on secondary education had already lost Afghan girls 300 days of schooling, with disastrous consequences for them, their families, and the nation's future. Taliban took power in Afghanistan in August 2021 and established rules severely restricting fundamental rights, particularly of women. They barred most girls from attending secondary education and removed all women from leadership positions in government.
