IIT Bombay Ranked No.1 in India, 172nd in the World: QS Rankings

The Quacquarelli Symonds company ranked IIT Bombay as the best Institute in India as per its global universities analysis. However, the institute holds 172nd position globally. Reportedly, the analysis was based on metrics like academics, employer reputation, faculty-student ratio and international student-faculty ratio. IITs from Delhi, Madras, Kharagpur, Kanpur, Roorkee and Guwahati including IISc Bangalore has made it to the top 500. Notably, four Universities from USA have been ranked in the top five.
