IIT Bombay UG Students Launch AI-Based Document Scanning Application

Rohit Kumar Chaudhary and Kavin Agrawal, final-year students from the Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Bombay, developed an Artificial Intelligence (AI) mobile application called "AIR Scanner". The app works as a reading assistant and document scanner. It scans documents and reads it to users who have trouble reading English. It also gives the meaning of any selected word, in 40 different languages. The Indian government recently banned Chinese apps including Chinese-owned document scanner, "Cam Scanner".
