IIT Mandi Develops Algorithms To Improve Efficiency Of Internal Combustion Engines

IIT-Mandi has developed algorithms that eyes to curtail carbon emission by studying internal combustion (IC) engine's function. Aiming to bring maximum fuel efficiency, the algorithm can be used for battery-operated vehicles as well. The algorithm has been developed in a joint effort of IIT-Mandi and Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions. Reportedly, IC engines contribute 10% of the world's greenhouse gas emissions while accounting for 99.8% of global transport.
