IMD Forecasts Cyclone Tauktae May Intensify In Severe Storm On May 17
Forecasting the landfall of cyclone Tauktae over the southeast Arabian Sea on May 15, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of it turning into a 'very severe cyclonic storm.' Heading towards Gujarat and adjoining Pakistan coast, Tauktae would cause heavy rainfall in Lakshadweep, Kerala, ghats of TN, coastal Karnataka. Launching the cyclone watch, the IMD also forecasted moderate pour in Goa and south Konkan regions during May 14-17.
