IMD Issues Different Alerts Due To Rainfall In Several Indian States

Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued rain alerts for numerous places in India for August 8. Red alert announced owing to extremely heavy rainfall in several areas of Maharashtra, while orange alert issued in some areas of Odisha, Palghar, Thane, Sindhudurg, and Kolhapur. Moderate to intense rainfall in several parts of South Indian states on August 9 and 10. Nagpur, Wardha, Gondia, and Washim placed on yellow alert.
