Imran Khan Live Speeches Prohibited In Pakistan After Allegations Of Hate Speech
Pakistan's media watchdog has prohibited all satellite television networks from broadcasting live remarks by former Prime Minister Imran Khan with immediate effect. He was arrested for threatening state institutions and government officials at a rally in Islamabad. On August 20, the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority stated that despite repeated warnings, television broadcasters had failed to adopt a time-delay device to prevent the airing of information critical of "state institutions."
