India Ambassador Meets Taliban Officials In Regards To Future relation

Following the withdrawal of the US troops from Afghanistan, India for the first time in Doha on August 31 met Taliban officials regarding future relations. The meeting was held between the Indian Ambassador to Qatar, Deepak Mittal, and the Taliban's representative Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanekzi. However, Mittal addressed the issues of terrorism & illegal activities after which the Taliban assured cooperation and will maintain ''good relations'' with India.
