India Celebrates Vijay Kargil Diwas, PM Modi, President Murmu Pays Tribute

India celebrates 23rd Vijay Kargil Diwas, on July 26. Newly elected President of India Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union ministers and other leaders paid tribute to Kargil Army Jawans and remembered them, who fought in the 1999 Kargil War, against Pakistan. The day is remembered as a victory of "Operation Vijay", after three months battle at Kargil, Ladakh. In the Kargil war, the country lost over 500 soldiers.
