India Charges Anti-Dumping Duty On Chinese PET Imports
Expressing concerns regarding domestic manufacturers, India charged anti-dumping duty on China on the imports of bottle grade Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET). Used for manufacturing bottles, the country proposed to impose $60.92- $200.66 based on PET quality. Notably, a couple of domestic PET producers had written to the Directorate of Trade Remedies to introduce anti-dumping duties. However, the Indian Plastic Federation raised concerns about such measures as it would affect domestic processors too.
