India, China To Establish Hotline For "Timely" Border Communication
India and China have agreed to establish a hotline, acknowledging the importance of "timely" communication in border crisis situations. The decision was an outcome of the 75-minute telephonic talk between foreign ministers of both the countries on February 25. The proposed hotline will be an add-on to the military hotline between the Indian Army’s Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) and China’s Western Theatre Command. Reportedly, the ministers also discussed about the overall bilateral relations.
