India-China Standoff: CDS Rawat Says 'Military Option' Open If Talks Do Not Work
Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat on August 24 said India might resort to the 'military option' against Chinese transgressors in Ladakh if talks fail. The statement came amidst the reports on August 23 indicating China is not showing any interest in disengagement, and is building infrastructure to support its troops along the LAC. There have been several rounds of diplomatic and military level talks between both the countries.
