India Extends $100M Credit Line For Mauritius To Buy Defence Assets
The Centre offered a $100 million Line Of Credit for Mauritius to procure defence assets, and signed a Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Partnership Agreement with their PM Pravind Jugnauth. Extending support under the SAGAR initiative, the External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also promised to focus on post-pandemic economic recovery, investments. Moreover, both the countries have also exchanged letters to provide maritime monitoring of Mauritius by Dornier and Dhruv planes.
