India Eyes Bilateral "Air Bubble" Pacts with 13 More Countries
Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on August 18 confirmed that India is in process of establishing bilateral air bubble arrangements with 13 more countries. The countries with which negotiations are being held include Australia, Italy, Singapore and Japan among others. A bilateral air bubble agreement allows airlines of the countries concerned to operate with some restrictions. Since July, India has made such air bubble arrangements with seven countries.
