India To Have 9 Nuclear Reactors By 2024, Says Jitendra Singh
Jitendra Singh, Minister of state of personnel, public grievances and pensions, on behalf of the centre in Rajya Sabha, said that India will have nine nuclear reactors by 2024. The first project will be in northern India, which is reported to be 150 kms away from Delhi. "Hopefully in 2021, we plan to start the construction of unit 5 and unit 6 as well," he said about Kudankulam nuclear plant.
