India Loses Against Australian Team In Commonwealth Women's T20

In the women's cricket event at the Commonwealth Games 2022, the Indian squad lost against the Australian team, on Day-one, July 29. Pacer Renuka Thakur's devastating spell of 4-18 went in vain as Ashleigh Gardner's 52 not out helped Australia defeat India by three wickets in the first Group-A match. The T20 event was the first defeat of India, at Commonwealth, India secured 154-8, whereas the Australian team scored 157-7.
