India Makes $300,000 Contribution To UN Women For Gender Equality
To support women empowerment and gender equality, India on April 1 made a $300,000 contribution to UN Women. Moreover, India's Permanent Representative to the UN, T.S. Tirumurti, tweeted about the contribution highlighting the UN Women entity’s role in progress from women’s development to 'women-led development'. Thanking India for the support, the UN Women’s Deputy Executive Director Anita Bhatia said, “Women-led development envisions women as agents of change”
