India Reports 2,797 New COVID Cases, 24 Deaths In Last 24 Hours: COVID Update

India reported 2,797 new cases of COVID-19 and 24 fatalities in the last 24 hours, on October 8. A recovery rate of 98.75% has been recorded in the country, taking the total active caseload to 29,251. India’s daily positivity rate stands at 1.05%, and weekly positivity rate at 1.30%. Furthermore, India has administered over 218.93 crore cumulative doses of COVID vaccine, since the beginning of the pandemic.
