Indian Army Chief Gen MM Naravane Awarded General Rank By Nepalese Army
Continuing a decades-old tradition between India and Nepal, Indian Army Chief, Gen MM Naravane was awarded with honorary rank of 'General of Nepali Army' at President Bidya Devi's residence, Kathmandu on November 5. The ceremony was attended by Nepalese PM KP Sharma Oli, Vinay Kwatra (Indian Ambassador) with other senior officials. The accolade included a sword, an Insignia and 'certificate of conferment' followed by Gen Naravane planting a Pecan tree at the Army headquarters.
