Indian Badminton Team Advances To Quarter-Finals Of Commonwealth Games 2022, Defeats Australia 4-1

Indian badminton team advanced to the quarter-finals of Commonwealth Games 2022 after defeating Australia 4-1 in their mixed team event on July 30. Srikanth Kidambi, PV Sindhu, Sumeeth Reddy, and Chirag Shetty put India up 3-0 over Australia. Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand of India were defeated by Hsuan-Yu Wendy Chen and Gronya Somerville. Sumeeth Reddy and Ashwini Ponnappa defeated Australia in the mixed doubles, giving India a 4-1 victory.
