Indian Congress To Initiate a Series Of Nationwide Protests, Against the Farmer's Bill
The All India Congress Committee held a meeting on September 21, as per the instructions of the party chief Sonia Gandhi. The special committee took a decision to launch a series of 'nationwide protests' against the Farmer's bills. The protests will begin after a press conference on September 24, in all the state headquarters. However, the party members will organize at least three protests on the streets that will go on till October 10. Moreover, “Kisan-Mazdoor Bachao Divas” will witness Dharnas & marches at every Assembly headquarter and District headquarter across India for the withdrawal of the bill, on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and the former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. As per the press release issued by the AICC, the party will collect signatures from two crore farmers and it will be submitted to the President of India, on the birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru, November 14.
