Indian Doctors Prescribing Ivermectin Despite WHO Advice Against Its Use
Despite WHO’s advice to avoid consumption of anti-parasite drug Ivermectin, the drug is rampantly used in India by mild COVID-19 patients under home isolation. The orally administered drug is recommended in India’s revised national COVID-19 treatment protocol. Interestingly, the drug maker also clarified of no evidence of its efficacy against coronavirus. Meanwhile, Indian physicians suggesting Ivermectin, claimed that the drug has shown to inhibit SARSCOV2 replication in clinical trials.
