Indian Judiciary Completely Independent; Treats All Parties Equally: CJI Ramana
Chief Justice of India N.V. Ramana emphasized significance of rule of law in India, saying that the judiciary could be relied on for its complete independence and constitutional strength to treat all parties fairly. CJI also attempted to clarify concerns about the judiciary becoming increasingly politicized in recent years. At annual meeting of Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, he highlighted that "Indian Courts are known for their pro-arbitration stance."
