Indian Railways To Utilize Solar Power By 2030

The Indian Railway is set on a mission to transform itself into a ‘Net Zero’ Carbon Emission Mass Transportation Network by 2030. Plans to solarise the railway stations by utilizing its vacant lands for renewable solar energy projects are undergoing, as directed by PM Narendra Modi. Indian Railway is a pioneer in the procurement of green energy and this move will make it the first transport organization to be energy self-sufficient.
