IOC Warns Indian Olympic Association To Hold Elections Soon Or Risk Being Suspended

International Olympic Committee (IOC) warned Indian Olympic Association (IOA) that if elections are not held in "coming weeks," it will be subjected to another suspension. IOA elections were scheduled for December of last year but were postponed owing to a court case attempting to amend its constitution to conform to norms of national sports code. IOC and Olympic Council of Asia asked IOA to announce election date "without further delay."
