Isaac Herzog Elected As New President Of Israel
Israel lawmakers on June 2 voted for Isaac Herzog as the new Israel president removing Reuven Rivlin who was elected in 2014. Reportedly, the decision came after the opposition united to oust PM Benjamin Netanyahu, in power since last 12 years. Currently negotiations are underway aimed at removing PM Netanyahu from office as the deadline to the opposition to form a new government will end on June 2 midnight.
