ISRO Launches Brazil's 'Amazonia' Satellite, Bhagavad Gita Into Space
In its first mission of 2021, ISRO on February 28 launched Brazilian satellite 'Amazonia' aboard PSLV-C51 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. The ISRO rocket carried 18 other passenger-satellites, including Satish Dhawan Sat built by Space Kidz India (SKI) having PM Narendra Modi's picture engraved on it, and Bhagwad Gita in an SD card. The idea, reportedly, was to show gratitude to PM Narendra Modi for his Aatmanirbhar initiative and space privatisation.
