An Italian village submerged in water for 25 years might resurface soon

A 13th-century village in Italy's Tuscany had been abandoned in 1947 because a nearby lake had to be flooded for construction of a dam, causing all the villagers to leave homes. The lake was periodically drained over the years, the last time being 1994. Now, there's a possibility of emptying the lake once again in 2021, in order to boost tourism in the area.
