Japan Introduces Massive Campaign For Youth To Consume More Alcohol To Stimulate Economy

Japan urged its young adults to consume more alcohol due to a decrease in income collections. In an effort to strengthen the economy and tackle a troubling demographic issue, Nationwide Tax Agency established a national business competition named 'Sake Viva' to encourage alcohol use among the country's youth. The initiative encourages young people to develop business concepts that will raise demand for Japanese alcoholic beverages.
