Jimmy Fallon apologises for wearing blackface make up on SNL in 2000

TV host Jimmy Fallon has apologized for appearing in blackface make up on Saturday Night Live, while impersonating comedian Chris Rock. 

A clip from the show, broadcasted in 2000, went viral on social media and triggered protests. 

In a statement on Twitter, Fallon said, ÔÇ£I made a terrible decision. There is no excuse for this. I am very sorry and thank all of you for holding me accountable.ÔÇØ
