J&K: Medical Seats More than Doubled, 50% Reserved for Female Aspirants
After getting the nod to admit more students in government medical-colleges at Doda, Anantnag, Baramulla, Kathua and Rajouri, medical-seats in Jammu and Kashmir have more than doubled. The MBBS seats have increased from 500 (2018-19) to 1100 in the current session. Notably, 50% of seats have been reserved for female aspirants. Calling it a great achievement J&K government spokesperson said that the arrangements to accommodate classes, labs and administrative blocks are being taken care of.
