Karnataka: 6 Workers Killed In Explosion At Quarrying Site

Six workers died and several suffered injuries after gelatin sticks exploded at a quarrying site in Karnataka's Chikkaballapur district during the early hours of February 23. As per police, the mishap occurred when the workers were trying to dispose the explosives. For the incident, PM Narendra Modi expressed his grief through Twitter. Meanwhile, Karnataka CM B S Yediyurappa has ordered a high-level investigation into the case and has assured of "stringent action" against the guilty.
